Financial stories can disappear behind words such as ‘market’, ‘innovation’ and ‘growth’. Editors need a clear event, verifiable figures and an explanation of what changed for readers. This guide lists outlets for articles and news about finance, investing, brokers and fintech. It also explains how to choose a format and support your claims with sources. Check each site's current rules before submitting.
What story is worth bringing to the financial media?
The news reports a change: a product has been released, commissions have changed, reporting has been published, a license has been received, a deal has been concluded. The column explains the consequences of this change. The study shows how the numbers are arrived at and where the limits of the conclusion are. The press release sets out the company's position. The editor can accept all four formats, but the choice depends on its audience. For a publication about personal finance, an analysis of the consequences for the client is useful; for professional media - regulatory details and calculation methods; for a site about brokers - trading conditions and documents that confirm them.
Before writing, complete the sentence: “After reading, a person will be able to...”. If instead of action it turns out to be “learning that we exist,” the material does not yet have external value. If you can “compare old and new commissions”, “understand the limitations of the service” or “check the calculation of profitability”, the topic can already be discussed with the editors. The company name is necessary for accuracy, but it does not replace the plot.
Where to submit news or an article
FinanceAnalitics - Author Form. Suitable for finance, economics, investing and business technology. The site allows you to submit material without a public account; after sending the application, the editor checks it. Prepare a headline, text, a link to the source and an explanation of who the news concerns. The submission page explicitly states that consideration does not guarantee acceptance and that this is not an academic publishing service. Therefore, it is better to translate the study from the language of the report into the language of the reader, preserving the methodology and limitations.
FinTerminal - Guest Content Editor. Reviews articles, news and press releases about markets, technology and finance. The conditions separate non-commercial material and advertising: submission of material without a commercial purpose can be free, but the sale of a service or placement of a link in the text must be separately agreed upon. Choose a topic, include illustrations, but first of all, show the fact being verified. The material appears after moderation, and not at the time the form is submitted.
BrokerList - sending news. A topic about brokers, trading platforms, the foreign exchange or cryptocurrency market is appropriate. The editors accept news, expert articles and press releases; the form asks for author, contacts, title, text and sources. Please read rules on submission page before uploading the cover: it must be used with permission of the copyright holder. Posting material does not change the company's position in the ranking. Do not combine an editorial with a request to improve your broker rating.
Institute for the Development of Financial Technologies - offer material. Suitable for news about payment infrastructure, banking products, regulation and technological solutions. The form asks for author, contact, section, text and cover; then the editors check the facts and the topic. The memo for authors separately examines primary documents, citations, and the difference between a forecast and a result. For partnership news, include a document or official communication from both parties, not just a photo from the signing.
Trafstat - author's publication. This is an option when the author wants to prepare the material their own text in an open feed. According to publication conditions, you need an account to work; The creation and placement of material in the author’s section is declared free of charge. The format is convenient for your own research, a note about a product, or an explanation of data. The responsibility for checking the figures is especially noticeable here: there is no editor who will collect missing sources instead of the author. Please also review the user agreement regarding text rights.
1000news - send material to the editors. A broad news platform is suitable when a financial event affects everyday life, and not just a narrow professional group. Guest Posting Guidelines include originality, cover rights, and editorial review. The material must be sent for a clear reason; spam and hidden advertising are not accepted. Tariff news will be stronger if it shows which users are affected by the change and when it goes into effect.
How to write financial news without vague claims
Start with the activity being tested, the date, and the participant. Then describe the conditions. For a banking product, this is the tariff, rate, validity period and range of clients. For a brokerage service - commission, available tools and restrictions. For investment research - observation period, sample and calculation method. The figure “profitability increased by 30%” does not explain anything until the comparison base and time interval are named. If you are quoting an executive, state their position and separate opinion from fact.
Links are needed not for SEO effect, but for verification. Give the editor the primary document: disclosure, report, regulatory announcement, tariff page, or research methodology. If the document is still closed, write honestly about it and offer the contact of a person who can confirm the data. Do not submit personal customer information or internal documents whose disclosure rights are unclear. To take a screenshot of the interface, check that there are no other people's names and amounts on it.
What's different about an article, a study, and an expert column?
The article does not have to start with company news. Its purpose is to help the reader make a decision or understand a change. Good structure: question, context, several testable options, conclusion with limitations. For example, material about the commissions of different services can be based on one standard operation, indicating in advance the date for checking the tariffs. The column allows the author to evaluate the market, but the assessment must have support: experience, data, documents, comparable cases. The formulations “all investors now...” and “this tool guarantees...” usually break during the first check.
The study should be included in the full version, if available. In the media copy, leave the main results, method, limitations, and an explanation of why the conclusion is important now. Don't call a survey representative without justification and don't turn a correlation into evidence of cause. If the result is obtained on the audience of your product, say so directly. Such honesty does not weaken the publication: the reader quickly understands who the figures refer to.
How to choose the first outlet and not send the text blindly
Open three recent materials from each site. Look at who they were written for, how the sources are formatted, and what level of detail the reader is accustomed to. Then make a short list of two or three revisions. Offer one a professional angle - how the change affects the industry; the other is consumer - what should the client do. You should not send the same finished text with the promise of an exclusive to several editors. If the text has already been published on your site, be warned: requirements for originality vary.
A few paragraphs will be enough in the accompanying message: what happened; why is this important to the publication’s audience; what data and speakers are available; when to publish, if there is an objective deadline. If the event is still under embargo, separately indicate the date and time the restriction will be lifted. Attach a contact where you can quickly clarify the number or wording. Don't ask the editor for a specific title or promise of coverage: the decision on publication and design remains with the platform.
Submission checklist
Check dates, currencies, units of measurement and comparison base. Check whether the stated rate applies to all customers or only new ones. Look to see if the text contains any promises of guaranteed returns and unsourced comparisons. Obtain rights to graphics, photos and quotes. Open all links without authorization: the editor should see a confirmation, not a login screen. Read the current terms and conditions of the selected site - the ability to submit material, rules for links and commercial content may change.
After submission, save the original version and list of sources. If the editors ask you to clarify one figure, respond with a document and a clear explanation, and not with new advertising wording. If the material is published, check the link, author's name and facts. It is better to quickly correct the error through the editor. A publication about money lives longer than the first day in the feed, and an incorrect commission can mislead people for months.
